Science Lab

Today in Science lab we reviewed the caution of pollution. What we did is play a game about pollution of bears. There were a certain amount of healthy and polluted bears and you had to no look pick two. If their were both healthy bears they were fine, if their were a mismatch their were dead, and if they were both bad they were bad. I wonder if this is like real life?

UCLA Major

If I were to go to UCLA I would major in Aeronautical Engineering. Since, I have been always entertained by airplanes and space shuttles and rockets. I would like to go to Hobby Town USA as a kid and buy rockets and planes and try to recreate them. Also, I would make models of planes from books and TV.  Also, this Major would help get a fantastic job somewhere in this business like the program NASA. Of course, this would be a very difficult major to do but I think I could do it. All you do in the classroom is make projects of planes and rockets and let them fly. Also, This major is not just about making airplanes and space rockets, it is also about fixing and taking them apart. I think this would be a great major at UCLA.

Science lab

Today in Science Lab we learned about everyday plastics. These plastics are everywhere, in your carpet, toothbrush, toothpaste and more. Children under the age of thirteen are in danger of getting harmed since the US does not test them. So Children must be aware of these causes. I wonder what would happen if the US tested children under the age of thirteen?

science lab responce

Today in Science lab we cleaned a birds feather that had oil on it. We used the different products to try to clean the birds feather. If we scrubbed to hard our feather was broken. We also had to see if we could clean it three times each time with only one of the three products. This activity fun and challenging a t the same time.

Science Lab response

Today in science lab we reviewed crude oil and how it affects our world. For example, if there is an oil spill in the sea animal will get oil on themselves and lick themselves in till it dies of poison. Also, if birds get that oil on them and the rescue team tries to scrub the oil of the birds will die because of the bonds in their wings separating. I wonder what happens to fish in an oil spill?

What we learned in the article “Reading your Mind” is that there are different types of scans for your body like the CAT scan, the PET scan, and the MRI scan. The CAT scan works by putting multiple X-ray beams into the brain tissue. The PET works by looking at the glucose in your brain to see how it works. The MRI scan works by putting powerful magnets and making your brain shake. I wonder if it were to hurt if I get an MRI scan.

I wonder if i will ever get a Raspberry Pi.

Today in Computer Lab we learned about sites that help students K-College study/learn for school. My opinion was highly of this since of children do not understand something in class they learn it via Internet. Also, if a children is home schooled this will help them learn better. I think that online learning will help kids learn better and get better reviewing.

The Bad Beginning

                                                                           162 pages

A sad story begins with a fire three children and sad news. In the story The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket the three Baudelaire children (They are Violet 14 an amateur inventor, Klaus a proficient reader, and Sunny the baby with teeth more powerful than anything else.) have to understand that their lives are over. Since, their parents perished in a fire the Baudelaire children are forced to live with their nemesis Count Olaf to understand that he is trying to steal their fortune. In the beginning the Baudelaire children are hopeless and miserably but in the end, they are relived and joyful. I can not wait to read the rest of the books.
